The theme of ‘Lotus Pool’ is inspired by a Pichhwai (hand-painted textile) from Nathadwara (a religious centre of Vaishnavites near Udaipur) in Rajasthan. The Patron of the Mangaldas family was a believer in the Shrinathji deity, and the lotus theme seemed apt for this addition to the heritage hotel. A lotus fresco covers the entire ceiling with a 17-meter long pool, and a massive lotus mobile (inspired by the American artist Alexander Calder) hangs from its center, over the pool.
‘The Lotus Pool’ is under maintenance from 13th April 2026 to 20th April 2026.
